Oshi Note Privacy Policy

AppSeed · 2026-10-26 · iOS / Android

AppSeed (we/us) provides Oshi Note (com.appseed.oshi) for iOS and Android. This policy applies specifically to Oshi Note and explains how information is handled.

1. Records stored on your device

Profiles, photos, birthdays, the date you became a fan, diary text, moods, tags, setlists, merch, wish lists, amounts, events, nicknames and settings are saved on your device to provide the app’s features. We do not automatically upload these records to an AppSeed record-storage server or automatically sync them between devices. No account registration is required. The app has no feature to collect your contacts, your entire device calendar or precise GPS location.

2. Backups and sharing

Only when you choose to export, the app creates a ZIP containing records and photos and passes it to the destination you select in the system share sheet. Cloud or other destinations apply their own terms and privacy policies. The ZIP is not password-protected; keep it secure. Exported files and backups made under your operating-system settings may remain after you delete the app.

3. Advertising: Google AdMob

The free app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). For ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention, the SDK may collect and share device identifiers such as advertising IDs, IP addresses (and approximate location inferred from them), ad/app interactions, device/OS/app information and diagnostics. The app has no feature that sends diary text or photos for advertising. Ads are not displayed while premium access is active.

4. Tracking and usage analytics

On iOS version 1.1.3 (19) and later, the app checks App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization before advertising processing that uses tracking. Personalized ads are enabled only with authorization. When permission is denied or restricted, the app requests non-personalized ads. Denial does not necessarily stop all processing, including IP addresses needed for ad delivery and fraud prevention. You can change permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Core app features remain available if you decline.

Firebase Analytics collection is disabled in the current iOS version. On Android, Google Analytics for Firebase may process app-instance/advertising IDs, screen views, sessions, device/OS information, approximate location and automatically collected purchase events to understand usage and improve the app. Diary text and photos are not sent as analytics-event parameters. Android’s advertising-ID controls are available in system advertising/privacy settings; their names and availability vary by OS. The app does not include a separate analytics opt-out switch.

5. Crash diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics

To investigate failures and improve stability, Google Firebase Crashlytics processes crash stack traces, timestamps, device/OS/app versions, installation identifiers and diagnostics. We do not configure diary text, photos or nicknames as custom identifying data. Crash diagnostics may continue when ads are hidden.

6. Subscriptions: RevenueCat, Apple and Google

RevenueCat is used for purchases, restoration and premium-entitlement checks. It processes an anonymous ID generated for the app, products, transactions, receipts or purchase tokens, purchase/expiry dates, subscription status and information such as device, app, locale and currency. This app does not set names or email addresses as RevenueCat customer attributes. Apple or Google handles payments; we do not receive complete credit-card details. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Manage cancellation through your store’s subscription settings.

7. Photos, notifications and external pages

The app uses photos you select for your records. Local notifications remind you of events, birthdays and anniversaries you configure. You can change photo/notification permissions in OS settings; already imported records remain until separately deleted. Recommended-app listings may retrieve public information from Apple. Opening support, store, terms or other external pages sends connection information such as an IP address to the destination, whose privacy policy applies.

8. Retention, deletion and requests

Local records remain until you delete them within the app or remove the app and its saved data. Features such as iOS Offload App may retain data. Separately delete exports and copies at sharing destinations. We cannot remotely view or delete records stored on your device.

External SDK data is handled under each provider’s purposes, retention periods and deletion policies. Contact AppSeed support below about access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, mentioning Oshi Note and your OS. We will assess information we can act on and follow applicable law and provider procedures. Data processed only with anonymous identifiers may not be attributable to you. Contact details and messages you send to support are retained as necessary to answer, maintain support records and meet legal obligations. Avoid sending unnecessary diary content or photos.

9. Providers and safeguards

Google, RevenueCat, Apple and other named destinations process data as necessary for the advertising, analytics, diagnostics and purchase functions above. Advertising services involve data sharing; this policy does not claim that all data stays away from third parties. We require appropriate protection under the applicable service agreements and policies, avoid unnecessary transmission of your records and use encrypted connections for SDK communications. Providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. See their linked policies below.
